To draw attention to the problem of the Ilkhom theater’s liquidation.
Ilkhom is more than just a theater. This is a unique and iconic place for many residents of Tashkent.
To preserve not only the building, but also the theater itself, we have created a special website — an online-petition telling the history of the theater since 1976, with emphasis on the main events. After viewing, people decided themselves: vote ‘for’ and keep the theater, or refuse and end its history.
Media coverage amounted to more than 4 million people, more than 5 thousand voted on the site, publications in local and foreign media. But, most importantly, the theater was preserved.
